Imagine you just completed your work or studies and you wanted to play World Of Warcraft (WoW). You start up your computer and initiate the game to only find out that it isn’t working. In this guide, I’m going to show you how to check the Server Status in WoW.
How to Check WoW Server Status
Wow’s Servers usually go down on a weekly basis to maintain them. Usually, the downtime is listed as an hour on their website but it takes around 10 mins. To know when the servers are going to go down, check out the Wow’s Service Status Forums. Alternatively, you can check out Blizzard’s Customer Support Account on Twitter as they will update the players in real-time. If your server is still suffering after the server maintenance then you can visit their official website to check which realms are working or not. This lets you see WoW, WoW Classic, and Burning Crusade Classic realms server statuses, providing information of which servers status is green or red.
Why are Blizzard’s/WoW servers down?
As mentioned above, WoW servers usually go down on a weekly cycle for maintenance. Officially they have listed that this server maintenance will take an hour or so but it gets done way before that. Unless there is a major issue, the downtime isn’t that long. Ten minutes approx is the most time the server will be down.
How do I Fix it?
This is a server-side problem. You as the Playerbase cannot really do much until the Developers finish fixing the issues on the server. Although if the issue is only with you then try restarting your system or the game. Check if your Internet service is stable. Also do check if your WoW’s Realm Server Status is green. If after that you can’t access the game then contact their Customer Care Service or check BlizzardCS on Twitter for more updates.
This was all about how to check the Server Status in WoW. Hopefully, this has helped you answer some queries. You can also check our guides on Classic Addons and WoW Character Not Found Fix.
