Blast Cores in LEGO Fortnite are some of the most hard-to-acquire resources that players will come across in their survival campaign. However, since these are used to craft one of the major builds, the Metal Smelter, you will have to forage the material to progress further. These cores are dropped by one of the hostile mobs which are specific to a certain area and biome.
Although, without proper weapons and techniques, you might find it hard to acquire Blast Cores from the mobs in LEGO Fortnite. Ranged or a higher rarity weapon can potentially deal more damage and let you have your hands on the cores much more easily in the game. So if you want to get your hands on them without any hassle, then here is a guide you should check out further.
Where to Find Blast Cores in LEGO Fortnite
To get your hands on the Blast Cores in LEGO Fortnite, you will need to face and defeat Blasters. These are some of the hostile mobs that you will come across inside the lava caves located in the desert biome. Once you spawn it might be harder to locate the Dry Valley area in the game. We would suggest that you climb atop some of the tall structures or cliffs around the grassland biome. Once you have a view of the desert biome, it will be easier to travel towards it.
After reaching the biome, you will find the cave entrance to be covered by a huge pile of boulders in LEGO Fortnite. Before heading inside, make sure you have a good ranged or higher rarity weapon at your disposal and that you have had the Snow Berry Shakes to counter the heat inside the caves. Along with them, we would also recommend that you carry around a torch to navigate inside.
Blasters are pretty much similar to the Rollers in LEGO Fortnite. These mobs are experts in disguising themselves as rock inside the cave. And they will only come out of their hiding place once you are near them. However, you will find them easy to spot with the torch as they will stand out in the surroundings.
Once you come across them, simply keep hitting them with your ranged or melee weapon. It is worth mentioning that Blasters will self-explode themselves to deal damage. You will have to make sure that you are not in its path when it charges towards you.
We would recommend that you kill it beforehand if you have the right weapon rather than waiting for it to explode. Once defeated they will drop one Blast Core each in LEGO Fortnite.
