Where To Find Lost Dog In Nier Replicant
To find the dog during the A Dog Astray quest in Nier Replicant, you will need to go to the valley just below the railway. Once here, head towards the Junk Heap and while the intel will say the dog has run off towards the Northern Plains, once you reach Junk Heap you will be able to spot the dog.
As you reach near to it, you will see that it has been attacked by shades. You will then need to defeat these shades to investigate the dog. After you’re done taking care of the shades, go towards the dog and you will be able to interact with it.

You will see that there’s a leaf inside the dog’s mouth, head back to the quest giver in Nier’s village, and you will learn that the leaf in the dog’s mouth was needed for medicine the owner of the god.
Sadly he too passes away before you can reach the village, no matter what you can do, you won’t be able to save either the dog or the villager during this quest.
