While exploring the Gear Shop, you may have seen the Friendship Pot in Grow a Garden, but the game doesn’t really explain what it does. As the name suggests, it’s a plain pot; however, it’s divine-tier gear that makes your gardening a shared experience. This guide explains how to get, use, and make the most of this social gardening aspect.
What does the Friendship Pot do in Grow a Garden?
Players can get the Friendship pot for 15,000,000 Sheckles or 39 Robux from the Gear shop which is located at the opposite end of the map from the Seed Shop. When you buy it, you’ll see that it’s a medium brown colored pot packed with dirt, however, the main concept here is that if you or your friend tends to the plant, it will grow across stages.
If a friend already owns it, they can link it with you via gifting—granting you one for free. To link it, have the pot equipped in your character’s hand, walk up to your friend, press and hold E to “Link/Share with [friend’s username]” and this sends a Link request.
When your friend accepts it, you will see the message: You have shared a Friendship pot to your friend. If a pot isn’t linked to anyone yet, it will show up in your inventory as Friendship Pot (Unlinked) and the ones that are linked will have your friend’s username next to it. Now all you need to do is place the pot in your garden.

To use a Friendship pot, both players must look after each other’s plants every 24 hours. This can be done by approaching your friend’s pot and pressing E to complete the “Tend” command. There’s a time limit for this daily task, so make sure you and your friend actively complete it.
As of now, you can have 4 linked pots and they cannot be picked up or moved, so make sure you place them carefully. They can be destroyed if you decide to change your mind. The goal is to maintain the streak with your friend and you will see the plant grow from nothing to a tall crop with cute little flowers.
