Sons of The Forest introduced many new features like the changing of seasons. With that comes the winter season and water is hard to come by during it. As you progress through playing the game, you are going to end up in the winter season. It’s best to brace yourself for winter in this game. As it is in real life, winter can be a harsh environment to survive in. Let’s take a look at what can be done to not go thirsty and have water in winter.
How to Find Water in Winter in Sons of the Forest
Getting water in winter isn’t as easy as getting water during other seasons in Sons of the Forest. There are lots of bodies of water around which include lakes, rivers, streams, etc. Normally you can just drink the water from those but in winter, these bodies of water are frozen.
One of the ways you can have water to drink in winter is by saving it. Making a Water Flask from the 3D Printer and saving water in that before winter can be one way to prepare. You can also save Canned Drinks in your base or inventory.
If you didn’t have the foresight to save water and it’s winter already, don’t worry. You can still get water in winter with a little more effort. All you need to do is find a big body of water like a lake and search around it.
You will find that there are smaller streams leading off from the lake. There should be water in one of these smaller streams.
Once you find this stream of water, fill up your Water Flask with this water and you should now have drinkable water during the Winter.
