A recent tweet has sparked widespread debate within the GTA 6 community after it claimed that a newly surfaced gameplay clip looked “crazy credible.” It received 1 million views and over 5K likes. However, a Community Note was quickly added, flagging the claim as misleading.
“Realistic” GTA 6 Leak Surfaces Online
The tweet showed what was described as a “major GTA 6 leak”, pointing to a gameplay video circulating on TikTok. The wording suggested that the footage appeared highly realistic, convincing enough to raise doubts about whether it could be genuine.
Given the extraordinary anticipation surrounding GTA 6 and Rockstar Games’ limited official updates, the post quickly gained traction among fans eager for new information. Many ended up believing it; however, it is fake.

Not long after the tweet began spreading, a Community Note was added to provide context. According to the note, the supposed “leak” is not authentic gameplay footage because it was “made with Far Cry 5 Editor to make it look like GTA6. There have not been any real leaks since 2022.” @videotechuk_ also replied to the original tweet with “Fakest s**t I’ve ever seen.”

This incident is far from isolated. The GTA 6 community has been repeatedly targeted by fake leaks, many of which use AI to appear more convincing than ever before. Such videos can closely mimic the visual style and mechanics of anticipated titles like this one, making it easy for casual fans to fall for them. Thankfully, in this case, Community Notes effectively reframed the viral claim, warning users not to treat the footage as legitimate Grand Theft Auto 6 material.
The hype for GTA 6 is reaching a new peak because of various speculations related to the official price, next trailer release, pre-order launch, and PC release date. Since marketing is going to start in full swing soon, we will get more official details from Rockstar Games. We will keep you posted.
