Yes, players should keep and absorb the Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen since they will allow you to tap into the Illithid Power Tree in Baldur’s Gate 3. These parasites are spread all over the campaign and players can find them from people who have been infected by them. They are tadpole-like parasites and you will have to defeat specific infected individuals in the game to get them. For starters, players can head to the Druid Grove and look for Brynna and her party and loot the Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen in BG3.

If you want to use Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will have to select the Consume option from the inventory and absorb it while doing so.
