CSGO is an endless FPS video game that involves destroying opponents with skillful strategies. But as you participate in more competitive matches, you will come to agree upon one thing. Practice makes a man perfect! Now, as you progress to practice smoke grenades and analyze the recoil of certain guns, you need time. While there is a set timer for 1 minute 55 seconds, you might need some extra seconds to practice. With some console commands, you can change your round timer to any limit. So, here’s our guide on how to change and set unlimited round time in CSGO.
How to Set Unlimited Round Time in CSGO
As mentioned earlier, you can change your round timer with the help of some console commands. If you haven’t enabled Developer Console/ Console Commands yet, head over to the Settings. You can head there by selecting the cog wheel in your main menu. All you need to do is toggle the Enable Developer Console option to Yes.
Follow these steps to change your round timer:
- Once you have the console enabled, head to a Workshop or Practice match.
- As you begin with a match, hit the (~) key to open the console commands.
- You need to type sv_cheats 1 to enable any of the commands.
- Now, type or copy and paste the following command:
- mp_roundtime (required time in minutes)
- The maximum limit for this is 60 minutes.
- So, enter the command, mp_roundtime 60, for a match to last 60 minutes.
- Then, hit the enter button to apply the command.
- So, enter the mp_roundtime command to change your round timer.
- If you are looking to increase your rounds, type the command mp_maxrounds (number of rounds). The maximum limit is 36 rounds.
- But you can enter the command, mp_ignore_round_win_conditions for unlimited rounds.
- Alternatively, you can also restart the practice matches. All you need to do is type the command mp_round_restart_delay (in seconds).
- If you set the time 1, your match will restart in a single second.
- For some maps like Dust 2 and Mirage that require defusing bombs, you can use another command.
- You can use the command mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to make the round time extend to 60 minutes.
- For Hostage maps, you can use the command, mp_roundtime_hostage 60, for making the rounds last 60 minutes.
While there is no specific console command to enable unlimited round time, you can use the above commands to make the rounds unlimited.
