  • Disconnect extra controllers: Thanks to Reddit user u/No-Huckleberry-5185 on the r/LEGOfortnite subreddit for sharing this fix, you can check their comment here. Basically, you can only have one controller connected while you play. For some reason if other controllers are connected you get this error, so you just need to disconnect them. Several users have commented that this method seemed to do the trick for them.
  • Check server status: Another thing you should do is check the server status of Fortnite. If it seems they are facing an outage it could be due to their servers being overloaded. If that happens to be the case then you should wait until they fix the servers.
  • Switch to Battle Royale: This is a hit-or-miss fix. Change the game to regular Fortnite Battle Royale. Start an unranked match and load into the game. After landing down leave the match. Once back in the main menu, you can switch to LEGO Fortnite. Now try creating or loading into the world.
  • Restart the game: This is a basic fix, simply restart your game until you are able to get into the game. It may not work immediately so you may have to restart it repeatedly until it does.

These are some ways you can fix the can’t create or load error. For more help on this game check out how to find backpacks and get hot or cold resistance in LEGO Fortnite.
