Thrumbo is the Zombie servant of the Mystic Carrion in Baldur’s Gate 3. During one of the quests in Act 3, the Mystic Carrion will ask you to find him his servant. And in exchange, you will be rewarded with Torch of Revocation, a very rare club. After finding Thrumbo, you’ll have the option to kill him or help him defeat the Mystic Carrion. Thrumbo’s Location in Baldur’s Gate 3
Thrumbo is found near the Hatch in the Lower City area. You can reach this location by fast traveling to the Heapside Strand waypoint. Once you are there, enter the house at the coordinates (X: 48 Y: 131). Inside the house, you will find a Wardrobe on the right of the room. Thrumbo is hiding in that Wardrobe so open it to finally find him in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).
Now that you have found Thrumbo, you have two options – Kill him or help him defeat Mystic Carrion. Check out below to know the most appropriate decision in this situation.
Should you Attack or Help Thrumbo in BG3?
The most appropriate decision can only be made if you already know the consequences. So, if you choose to attack Thrumbo, then the Mystic Carrion will reward you with the Torch of Revocation as promised. However, if you choose to help Thrumbo, then you will have to defeat Mystic Carrion by finding the following 4 items:
- Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Lungs
- Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Liver
- Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Brain
- Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Heart
After collecting these items, you will be able to defeat Mystic Carrion. Thrumbo will reward you with Crypt Lord Ring after killing him. Let me tell you that making any decision won’t impact your story much. However, if you want to stand out as a kind character, then you should help Thrumbo in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3). That’s because Thrumbo and his friends, especially Talus, were tortured in the most horrible way possible. And Mystic Carrion was the one responsible for all this.
So according to me, you should definitely help Thrumbo and get the Crypt Lord Ring. It will allow you to use Level 6 Necromancy Spell. Also, you can get the Torch of Revocation by looting a chest after defeating Mystic Carrion. Besides this, you will also get other rewards like Staff of Cherished Necromancy, Armour of the Sporekeeper, and Veil of the Morning by killing evil.
