Survey Drones in Horizon Forbidden West are machines that hover over a certain area. To get to them, you will need to climb the nearest high point. Usually, the high-point will be in the path of a Survey Drone. Once it gets near to you, you will have to jump and then interact with it. Once you do jump onto it, you will descend gradually and then will be able to loot once you touch the ground.

You will have to do this a total of 10 times. To gain the ability to get Survey Drones in Horizon Forbidden West, you will need to complete the 5th main Quest in the story, Death’s Door. There should be the PSiCLOPS console at your base where you will be able to connect it to the Survey Drones modules.

Locations of the Drones

The location for each Survey Drone in Horizon Forbidden West are as follows:

  • Stand of the Sentinels
  • The Graypeak
  • The Stillstands
  • Thornmarsh
