The Indigo Disk DLC brings in a lot of additional content in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, while you must be familiar with the Terastallization of Pokemon and all the tera shards introduced in Gen IX, the DLC introduces a new type of shards known as the Stellar Tera Shards. And it might leave you guessing when you first hear about them in the game. However, they work the same as any other tera shards do.
The Stellar Tera Shards in Pokemon SV Indigo Disk lets you change a Pokemon’s Tera type to a stellar type in the game. What this does is whenever you terastallize your Pokemon to stellar type, it will increase the same type attack bonus for every move type. So if you want to change your Pokemon’s tera type and increase that STAB potential for every move type, then here is how to get the shards in the game.
How to Farm Stellar Tera Shards in Pokemon SV Indigo Disk
Here are some of the methods through which you can obtain the Stellar Tera Shards in Pokemon SV Indigo Disk DLC:
Complete the Main Campaign
Once you complete the main campaign in Pokemon Indigo Disk, wild Stellar Type Pokemon will appear in the Blueberry Academy’s Terrarium. You will find them scattered across the biomes in the game.
And they are quite easy to spot because of their terastallization and effects in the game. You will have to complete the entire campaign and defeat Terapagos to unlock them in the first place.
Although, once you do complete it, it will be a lot easier to farm the Stellar Tera Shards in Pokemon Indigo Disk. You can either catch the Pokemon or defeat them in battle where they will drop the shard in the game. We would suggest saving the game before facing the wild stellar Pokemon.
Upgrade Item Printer
Another method to obtain these shards is to simply upgrade your Item Printer available in the League Clubroom. You will have to unlock the final upgrade for the Item Printer to create Stellar Tera Shards in the game. For this players will have to use the printer more than 100 times and spend 1000 BP.
Once upgraded, gather enough Pokemon materials for the Item Printer to print and create more and more items. It is worth mentioning that since there are no recipes in the printer, the shards will be created randomly.
Reach the Terrarium Core
One of the easiest methods with which you get plenty of Stellar Tera Shards is to reach the Terrarium Core which hangs from the roof of the Terrarium. For this, however, you will need to unlock fly for Koraidon and Miraidon in the game.
This can be done by completing the main storyline and meeting Amarys in the Blueberry Academy. Once done, the ability will be unlocked and you will be able to reach the Terrarium Core quite easily.
It is worth mentioning that you won’t be able to obtain Stellar Tera Shards from any raid dens just yet in Pokemon SV Indigo Disk.
