Soul Ash is an essential item to craft and upgrade legendary items in Shadowlands. Notably, the number of Soul Ash needed to craft legendary items varies depending on the item you are considering to either craft or upgrade. The higher the item level the more Soul Ash will be used.
How to Obtain Soul Ash
There are various ways to obtain Soul Ash in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. But in this guide, we will be discussing two main ways to get Soul Ash:
- Introduction Quest
There are two wings that can be played in Torghast in a week. Each wing consist of 8 different layers but there are three layers that will be available at the beginning. Upon completing a layer for the first time in a week, you will get Soul Ash in Shadowlands.
There are multiple introductory quests in Torghast that can only be completed once per character, allowing you receive Ashes of Souls. Initially, you would find any quests in Torghast but you will be able to see them as you progress in Shadowlands. Once you are done completing all quests, you will be given 900 Soul Ash.

There are total of six wings available in Torghast every week but only two wings can be played at the beginning. Each wing consists of eight different layers. When you complete a layer for the first time, you will be received Soul Ash as a reward.
