Whistling can be used to lure soldiers in one direction. The soldiers in the earshot of the whistle will come to investigate. Whether you choose to kill them or escape in another direction is on you. This can be useful if you want to clear a particular direction filled with soldiers.

Follow these steps if you want to whistle in Sniper Elite 5 –

  • Open the Inventory Menu. You can access this by holding L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox and Q on PC.
  • Use the analog stick or the direction keys to select whistle.
  • Once the selection appears over whistle it will be highlighted and will appear in the center of the menu.
  • Now that you have selected the whistle you can blow the whistle by holding R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox and F on PC.

As mentioned earlier, this strategy is very useful when you are sneaking past soldiers or want to lure and kill them. Somehow the soldiers who hear the whistle will come to investigate and you can easily knock them out. Multiple soldiers might come to investigate and will follow the footsteps of the others in getting knocked out.
