How To Get & Use Smoke Bombs In AC Mirage

Updated Date :

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you can use a Smoke Bomb to distract the enemies around. Not only does it grant you a moment of retreat, but also helps you to sneak in a location easily. However, it is not something that is readily available to you. Instead, you will have to unlock it and make it available for purchase. So, in this guide, we will help you unlock and get Smoke Bombs and will provide some tips to use them effectively in AC Mirage. Scroll down on this page to get started.

How to Unlock Smoke Bombs

Just before starting the The Boat Heist quest, you will get an opportunity to unlock a Tool for free from Abu Jafar Muhammad. Here, you can select the Smoke Bomb and unlock it for purchase. But if you have already selected any other Tool, then you will have to spend Skill Point to unlock it later. Skill Points are obtained from completing quests, unlocking Treasure Chests, etc. To unlock Smoke Bombs using Skill Points, you must head over to a Hidden One’s Bureau and interact with a Musa NPC.

How to Get More Smoke Bombs in AC Mirage

To get more Smoke Bombs, you must purchase it using Dirhams at a Trader. There are plenty of them available and can be located by using the following icon on the map:

Now that you know how to get Smoke Bombs, here are a few tips and tricks to unlock it efficiently.

Tips to Use Smoke Bombs in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

When purchased, Smoke Bombs are directly assigned to the Tool cycle from where you can equip it. Or you can directly equip it by using the designated button in the Controls menu. Once you have equipped it, you need to aim at a specific location and then throw it using the attack button. According to me, you should not use Smoke Bombs to create a distraction or to hide among enemies. But you should upgrade it to create something even better. Yes, it is possible to upgrade and add new effects on the Smoke Bomb by using the Tool Enhancement Service in AC Mirage. For your reference, below are all the Smoke Bomb Upgrades that you can get:

  • Tier 1
    • Extra Capacity: Increases the ammunition capacity for this tool by 2
    • Extended Range: Increases the distance you can throw this tool by 7 meters
    • Durable Smoke: Increases how long smoke remains active
  • Tier 2
    • Silent Blast: Enemies can no longer hear smoke bombs detonate
    • Healing Vapor: Recovers some of Basim’s health if he is inside the smoke
    • Choking Fumes: Damages enemies caught in the smoke
  • Tier 3
    • Mindwipe: Causes guards caught in the smoke to forget they saw Basim
    • Flammable Smoke: Smoke ignites it in contact with flames, setting everything within it on fire

Smoke Bomb Tool Enhancements In AC Mirage

Since you can only select one upgrade from each Tier above, I suggest you get the Extra Capacity, Choking Fumes, and Mindwipe enhancements. These upgrades promote a stealthy build that allows you to easily tackle the enemies.
