One of the trickiest puzzles to solve in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Silent Library. As evident from the name itself, the entire library has a silent spell cast on it. This means that the silence status effect will be applied to you and your party members. The Library itself is full of traps and hostile enemies, so you will need to handle all of them while also solving the puzzle inside. How to Solve the Silent Library Puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Silent Library can be found in the lower-left corner of the Gauntlet of Shar in Baldur’s Gate 3. Once you enter the library, you will realize that none of your verbal spells will work here due to the silence status effect. So, this is your best chance to use Rogue members in your party. Use them to disarm the huge number of traps lying around. You can then move closer to your targets and take them down. Now, you need to figure out a way to get rid of the silence status effect inside the library. Well, it’s quite straightforward as you will just have to find a specific book in the room to complete the Silent Library puzzle in BG3.
What Can Silence the Nightsong in BG3?
Once all enemies have been taken care of, you will notice that there are four bookshelves in this library. Walk towards the one on the northeast corner of the room. Disarm the traps on this bookshelf and you will find a book called Teachings of Loss: The Nightsinger. You can then head back to open the large gate with a lockpick. After stepping inside, you will find a plinth that asks, “What can kill the Nightsong?”All that you need to do now is place the book that you just found onto the plinth. This will complete the Silent Library puzzle in BG3. For solving the puzzle, you will get two rewards – a Dark Justiciar Helmet and the Spear of Night.
