Should you Let Abdirak Hit You in Baldur’s Gate 3?

We would recommend you let Abdirak hit you in Baldur’s Gate 3. Although the initial thought is to directly turn down this offer, accepting it will be much more beneficial for your character. This is because, once you let this priest torture you, he will bless you with Loviatar’s Love. This blessing is a permanent buff that will be triggered once your health falls below 30%. You will get a +2 bonus on Attack Rolls and Wisdom Saving Throws for three turns.

However, you will get this blessing only if you can pass each Performance or Intimidation roll. On the other hand, if you go with the last option, you will have to fail the Constitution roll without going below 40% health. If you pass the Constitution roll, he will stop torturing you, and your character won’t be rewarded with the buff.

Additionally, you can also read the ‘On Receiving Her Grace‘ book, which will be placed on a table near this location. This will help you unlock more useful dialogue options while interacting with Abdirak.

Instead of this, you can also choose to kill him and loot these special items from his dead body – four Gold, Scroll of Hold Person, and Loviatar’s Scourge, which is an uncommon mace. However, we would advise you to first accept his offer, obtain Loviatar’s Love, and then kill him. By doing this you will be able to secure all the items Abdirak can offer.
