How To Get Shiv In The Callisto Protocol

Published Date :

The Callisto Protocol is a brutal game where you have to survive against hordes of mutants. To fight those enemies, you will need powerful weapons. However, like every survival game, you won’t get them from the beginning. You have to start small and it doesn’t get any smaller than a handmade Shiv. This improvised weapon is very useful in the early stages of the game. Want to know how to get it? In this article, we will tell you how to get Shiv in the Callisto Protocol.

Get Shiv from Elias during Outbreak

In the Callisto Protocol, you will get the Shiv from Elias in the Second Chapter called Outbreak. Then, you will learn the combat system in the game. Here’s a simple walkthrough on how to reach Elias.

  • At the start of the mission, you will be on a ship heading to the Black Iron Prison. There you will meet Captain Ferris and Warden Cole.
  • Then, you are taken to place an implant in your nape which will act as your health bar.
  • After waking up, you have to explore the cell. While doing so, you will come across a pink cube. As you are about to pick it up, you are held by your dead first officer.
  • Later, it is revealed to be a dream and you will be in the middle of an outbreak.
  • Escape your cell and go to your right. At the end of this path, you will come across some stairs on the left.
  • Climb down those stairs and you will come across Elias’ cell. Interact with him and after a short dialogue, he will hand you a modified wrench. Once you get this weapon, you will unlock the “Desperate Times” achievement.

Note that this weapon will be with you throughout the game. You can use the Shiv to open certain doors, and chests, and to perform Stealth Quick Kills.
