What is a Discord School Hub? (2023)
Discord School Hubs enable students to meet their classmates within their own School Hub. This feature will make hubs accessible to only those who are currently participating in the school curriculum. Students should be able to see all of their classmates, in the school hub. Students can search for their classmates’ servers and add their servers within the Hub.
This feature is now available to Discord users in Australia. In the second phase, it will be live in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. This is expected to be available to additional countries in the future.
Who can Access a Discord School Hub?
Only students having an email address assigned from their school, can have access to the Hub. A new discord account should be created with an email id from the school.
What are the Steps for Users to Locate and Join it?
You will receive a message from Discord if the hub is started & functional by your school. This message will contain all of the information a student needs to join their School Hub. If the hub is not currently available in your country, you may sign up to get information when it becomes available.
Which Countries Have the Feature?
Some Australian schools have already implemented hubs. Students from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, and France are using it too. Students from the second phase can add their school to a waitlist. Soon, schools from other countries will be able to join the queue.
Can Anyone from a School Create a Hub or Does this happen Automatically From Discord?
School Hubs is not in association with any schools or colleges. Once your school enables it, the hub for your school will be generated. After that, students and school community members can add their own servers to the hub. This makes it simple for students to find the individual servers in the hub.
