As you may have known by now the Season of Arrivals has started and it lasts until the 22nd of September, this gives you ample amount of time to get your hands on The Ruinous Effigy Exotic Trace Rifle In Destiny 2. Also, while this gun can make defeated enemies into orbs to use, it is the only weapon that can destroy Savathun’s Eyes.
They are the blue orbs floating around the world during the Season of Arrivals and for destroying them you can get the weapon’s Catalyst. There are a few steps that are needed to be followed in order to get a Ruinous Effigy Exotic trace rifle.
1. Missive
To begin the weapon’s quest, you will have to visit the Prismatic Recaster which can be found inside the Tower. After this, all you have to do is pick up the Means to an End weekly quest near the Drifter.
2. Gift
You will need to complete the Means to an End quest and you will have a bunch of public contract events involving collecting dark essence in various game types.
Once you are done with this, pursue the Interference mission that can be found on Io. To do this all you have to do is navigate to Io’s director and searching in the upper left corner. Grab the branch
3. Pendulum
Get ready for a scavenger hunt as you will need to grind for 25 Calcified Light Fragments along with 15 Savathun’s Marionettes. For the Calcified Light Fragments, you will need to visit all four planets from Mercury, Mars, Titan, and Io.
- Luckily, these will be highlighted on your HUD, and when you’re on Io and Titan you will also need to kill 15 Savathun’s Marionettes. They are the Unstoppable Cabal Phalanx Champions.
- To find these mini-bosses check out zones where you do not get Contact public events. Search and kill the elite and boss-type Taken enemies. This will draw out the Marionettes.
You can also try your hand at defeating them at the end of a Heroic Contact public event. Make sure to use Unstoppable weapons and mods for the best outcome.
4. Feed
Now comes the grind part where you need to get a bunch of kills after you’re done with the Marionettes of Savathun. Get into the Gambit or the Reckoning and try to get some headshots in. You can use Void weapons to make things easier and quicker.
5. Shape
Once you’re done with completing all the requirements that are necessary, head back to the Tower and find the Prismatic Recaster. Give your new engram at the Umbral Decoder and you will get your Ruinous Effigy Exotic Trace Rifle.
