Published Date :

Wondering where to search for Grand Duke Ravengard and rescue him in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)? The location of Grand Duke Ravengard changes throughout the game. This all happens until you reach the Lower City. However, there’s a lot that needs to be done correctly before trying to find and save the Duke. We will be helping you to get it done right through this guide.

The Grand Duke Ravengard is actually Wyll’s father. And Wyll’s Pact with Mizora is going to play a major role in saving him. With that out of the way, here’s what you can do to save Ravengard in BG3.

Wyll’s Pact with Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3

In Act 3, you will be visiting Wyrm’s Fortress for Lord Gortash’s Proclamation. During the Proclamation, Grand Duke Ravengard can be found in the throne room. Once Wyll spots him there, the Duke will ask for help. Right after that, Mizora will show up at your camp giving you an opportunity to break the Pact. Mizora will give you 2 options that include:

  • Break the Pact and let Grand Duke Ravengard die.
  • Get the location of Grand Duke Ravengard and save him, but pledge Wyll’s Soul Mizora.

Note: Attending Gortash’s Proclamation at Wyrm’s Fortress is important, make sure you don’t miss it.

Let me tell you that you can break Mizora’s Pact and still save him. That’s because Mizora won’t be killing Wyll’s father (Duke) immediately. All you need is the right location and knowledge of what can be done to save him. So take a look below to know the location of the Grand Duke Ravengard in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

Where is Grand Duke Ravengard in BG3 (Location)

Flymm's Cargo BG3 (Grand Duke Ravengard Location)

Grand Duke Ravengard is kept inside an underwater prison known as Iron Throne. You can reach there by heading over to Flymm’s Cargo which is located on the southwestern side of the Lower City. There, you will find a locked door at the coordinates (X:-172, Y:- 149). You can unlock that door by using the Lockpick technique. Once you are inside, follow the steps below to rescue Grand Duke Ravengard in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3):

  • Move the crates away to find the entrance to the Flymm’s Cargo Basement.
  • In the basement, walk your way to the Subaquatic Dock and interact with Redhammer the Deviser.

  • During the conversation, convince or intimidate him so that you can use the Submersible and go to Iron Throne.
  • Next, you’ll be warned by Gortash after reaching the Iron Throne but you must continue anyway.
  • After this spot, you will have very less amount of time and moves to free all the prisoners.
  • There are lots of other prisoners on the Iron Throne alongside Grand Duke Ravengard.
  • I would suggest you only save Duke Ravengard because the clock is ticking faster.
  • Ravengard is imprisoned in cells found on the Iron Throne’s eastern side.

Once you have found the Grand Duke Ravengard in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3), you must take him back to the Submersible to rescue him. In between all this, Mizora will show up again and make Ravengard kneel but that won’t make any difference. After rescuing Ravengard, he will show up at your camp. There, you will have to praise Wyll and choose dialogues that show how brave he is. Later, Grand Duke Ravengard will become an ally and help you in future battles.
