The Loss Gauge in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a mechanic, that every player must know about, as it is linked to your character’s health and stamina. Since one of the main aspects of this game is the battles, understanding how you can undo your HP loss is of utmost importance. Failing to properly manage your health, in or out of battle, will lead to regrettable circumstances. Therefore, here’s everything you need to know if you want to learn how to recover your maximum health so that you are ready to face any of the challenges you encounter.
What is the Loss Gauge in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
The Loss Gauge is the maximum health you have lost during battles while taking hits or any other form of damage that has taken a toll on your HP. Although it can be restored, you will lose your maximum health semi-permanently.
You can keep a check on this HP loss by reviewing your health bar that appears towards the bottom of the screen. The grey line will denote the maximum health you have lost, the white line will show you the HP that can be restored and the remaining green line refers to the health you still have access to.
How to Recover Your Maximum Health in Dragon’s Dogma 2
When it comes to recovering the Loss Gauge, there are three prominent ways you can use to regain your maximum health –
Resting at an Inn
The best way to recover the maximum health you have lost is by resting at an Inn in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Along with boosting your maximum health, resting at an Inn will also save your game. However, the only downside of it is the amount you will have to spend.
Sleeping at an Inn will cost you anywhere between 1,000 Gold to 9,999 Gold. As a result, if you are looking for a cost-effective option, you must rest at a camp, instead.
Camping
Setting up a campsite is by far the cheapest way of recovering the Loss Gauge. To access this option, all you have to do is interact with the campfire you encounter while exploring the wild and set up your camp.
After resting, you will be recharged and your maximum health will be restored. You will also be able to cook at the campsite, however, sleeping will be the only factor that will boost your maximum HP.
Allheal Elixir
Lastly, the elusive Allheal Elixir will help you boost your maximum health and restore the Loss Gauge. Additionally, it will also remove any negative status effects. However, getting this curative is next to impossible due to its rarity. Therefore, we would recommend using Inns and Camps when it comes to recovering your maximum health in DD2.
