Marunweem Lake has a Thestral Den, which is a mountable flying beast. So getting there is rewarding along with many other treasures that you can find. It is located on the very south of the map and you must travel far to get there. There are some basic requirements that you need before you attempt to go there.

  • Your character must be at least level 16
  • Your character should be in possession of a Flying Broom

In order to get to Marunweem Lake, you will have to go through a choke point. This choke point is visible on the World Map. It is through a dungeon called Tomb of Treachery. The entrance to this area is down below at the lowest point you can go with your Flying Broom. So mark the Tomb of Treachery Floo Flame and fly over there.

This dungeon cave houses many Goblins and other dangers that you will have to fight through. It is not possible to fly above it and skip it. Your best tactic would be to use Disillusionment Spell. Use this to take as many Goblins out as you can with Petrificus Totalus.

Once you get past them, you will have to face a Goblin boss known as Ogbert the Odd. Defeat him and all the other Goblins then head out of the cave to finish the dungeon.

After that, you can just mark the Marunweem Lake Floo Flame and fly there at your pace. Be warned, this area does have enemies but these can be avoided unlike the cave Goblins.
