Can You Play PVP Mode In Valheim?

Updated Date :

PVP in Valheim is a feature a lot of players have been asking around and while there is a possibility of pitting Vikings against each other, it isn’t straightforward as most players are accustomed to. If you want to know how to play PVP in Valheim, you’ll definitely want to check the rest of this guide out.

Is There PVP In Valheim?

To enable PVP in Valheim, you will need to host a private server and then add players to it. On the same page, you should look for a toggle on the inventory page. Playing PVP requires both players to agree to it and while you can have your very own dedicated servers with 10 players, we recommend that you play PVP with a known friend so that you do not lose out on any items and weapons that you’ve gathered in the game.

PVP in valheim can be enabled if both players agree

The main focus of Valheim is PVE and PVP seems to be a small part of the entire experience, the main objective of Valheim seems to be to gather few friends and go on an epic adventure to lands far away, defeating enemies and conquering lands for yourself.

PVP in Valheim can only be activated by the host of the server, if the host does not want to include PVP  you will either have to host a server of your own or you can try to find other hosts that wish to have it in their game.

The progression of Valheim places far less importance on fighting against players, but you will often find monsters and other creatures that you can take down together or just go solo.

We do not recommend playing PVP with total strangers unless you’re willing to wager everything you have on the line on you as your death will result in you losing all of your items and you will have to be at the mercy of the stranger if they haven’t taken everything already.
