Walk Past It
This method has worked for some players, and hopefully, it will work for you too. Simply use your controls to look at the area behind the Gnarled Door. Now, click anywhere behind the door to make your party reach there. In case you are unable to get past that door, use the below methods.
Pass an Arcana Check
While investigating the Gnarled Door in BG3, you can start a conversation with it. After a few dialogues, you will use an Arcana Saving Throw that needs to be passed. Succeeding in this Arcana Check will allow you to move through the Gnarled Door in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3). There’s one more way to get behind the door if you fail this method.
Use the Whispering Mask
Just to the right side of the Gnarled Door, you will find a Whispering Mask kept on a table. Collect it from there and equip it on your character. Once you have equipped the Whispering Mask, the illusive Gnarled Door will disappear and you can walk past it in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3). However, whichever character equips the mask will constantly have to run a Wisdom Check. That’s because the mask is bewitched by Auntie Ethel and she will try to take control of your mind. Failing the Wisdom Check will turn your companions into enemies. And you will have no option but to kill them.
To save yourself from the effect of Whispering Mask, you must choose a character with higher Wisdom. This will increase your chances of passing the Wisdom Check by rolling dice with higher numbers.
