Nier is a beautiful blend of anime and action combat, with lush green plains and a village the game looks like any other anime you might have seen. Nier Replicant has added a lot on the 2010 version from side quests to other collectibles, one such add-on is the character outfits. Let’s see how you can change the Outfits in Nier Replicant and modify character appearance.
How to Change Outfits in Nier Replicant?
Players can’t change the character outfits mid-game as they can only be changed through the main menu. Select the “options” tab in the main menu, under which you will find the “Wardrobe” tab. After clicking on the “wardrobe” tab you will find all the characters you have unlocked and on the right, you will be able to change their outfits. Once you have selected the outfits click on apply changes and when you go back to the game you will see your character in the new outfit. You can unlock the Nier Automata costumes and weapons after downloading the YoRHa DLC pack from the store, so don’t forget to get that DLC.
As you progress through the game, you will end up unlocking more characters. Once unlocked you will be able to change their outfits under the same “wardrobe” tab. Costumes don’t have any contribution to the character’s attributes be it strength or weapons. In Nier Replicant, outfits are only collectibles and can only be used to elevate the experience and aesthetic of the game.
In case you don’t see the Options tab, try updating the game. Players can unlock more skins by completing the 15 Nightmare Dungeons. Players can also unlock weapons by completing the Nightmare Dungeons so make sure you do give equal priority to these quests as well.
