How To Get Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty New Ending

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty How to Get New Ending

While the Phantom Liberty DLC features multiple endings, does it add a new ending to Cyberpunk 2077? Yes, Phantom Liberty adds a new ending to the base game. But if you continue with the DLC before completing your game, it will wipe out the rest of the main game which is why we recommend completing Cyberpunk 2077 and unlocking all endings before playing the expansion.

You can get a new ending based on the choices you make throughout the DLC, so check out this guide to find out how to unlock a new ending in CP 2077 Phantom Liberty.

Disclaimer: The following guide contains heavy spoilers about the storyline and playthrough. So, if you mind such spoilers, now is the best time to head back, and check again later.

How to Unlock the New Ending in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Unlock New Ending

There are two new endings you can get depending on the dialogue options you choose during the Firestarter quest in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC. These choices will branch out two routes that are significantly different than one other. But as you choose one dialogue option, you can miss out on another end. However, loading a previous save can allow you to access both the new endings to the base game. In the end, it all comes down if you want to help Songbird or Reed in Cyberpunk 2077.

So, here are the two dialogue options that unlock a new Cyberpunk ending in Phantom Liberty:

I’m with you (Help Songbird Escape)

You must turn heel and agree to the deal that Reed proposes for this ending. As you call Reed, you must pick the following dialogue choices in order:

    1. Wanna live on.
    2. Deal.
    3. Pick up Songbird.
    4. Lay Songbird down.
    5. Take Good Care of Her.

One more second (Help Reed Capture Songbird)

You need to keep Songbird alive and help Reed capture Songbird to get this ending. If you make this decision, you will get the following missions:

    • Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos
    • Somewhat Damaged

Once you complete the Somewhat damaged mission, you will enter the core where Songbird is placed. She will plead with you to kill her as she is in a weakened state. At this point, you can either kill Songbird or spare her life.

Both choices offer a new ending to your Cyberpunk playthrough. When you reach the Point of No Return, ensure you have completed the previous missions or side missions.

That’s all about how to unlock the new ending in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. If you found this guide helpful, check out more guides on how to use the Build Planner 2.0, how to install the Cyber Engine Tweaks, and explore more Cyberpunk Guides right here on Gamer Tweak.
