Elden Ring Miquella’s Needle – How To Get & Use

Check out our guide on how to get and use Miquella's needle in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring features a wide range of endings that are triggered upon defeating or interacting with the characters. While most of the items offer buffs or debuffs, here’s an item that alters an ending. Miquella’s needle can change one of the scariest endings in the game. So, here’s our guide on how to get and use Miquella’s needle in Elden Ring.

How to Get Miquella’s Needle in Elden Ring

You can get this item by completing Millicent’s questline and returning the unalloyed gold needle to the Scarlet Aeonia. To get an unalloyed gold needle, make sure to help Millicent defeat her sisters. Check out our guide on how to complete Millicent’s questline.

Once you get the unalloyed gold needle, give it to Scarlet Aeonia after defeating Malenia, the blade of Miquella, to get Miquella’s needle.

How to Use Miquella’s Needle

One of the endings, allows players to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. While you become an Elden Lord, you are completely consumed by the flames. On top, you subdue the entire Lands Between with frenzied flame. For some players like me, it’s more of a wicked ending rather than bad. But for the players that want to change this ending, you can use Miquella’s needle to do so. Follow these steps to change the ending:

  • Head over to Dragonlord Placidusax located at the Crumbling Azula. Check out our guide on how to get to Dragonlord Placidusax.
  • Once you reach there, use the Miquella’s needle in front of the Dragonlord Placidusax.
  • As you use it, select the “Tame the flame of frenzy option” and choose Yes.
