LEGO Fortnite Metal Smelter Job Not Working – Can You Fix It?

Published Date :

Are LEGO villagers being ungrateful to you? After you gave them a roof and assigned jobs to make them self-reliant, they stopped working. No, they are not revolting against you; it is just that for about a month, the LEGO Fortnite Metal Smelter Job is not working. There seems to be some kind of bug that resets the progress after they complete 99% or just skips giving the material altogether.

For now, it is occurring only with the Metal Smelter, which is a relief, but not having enough Obsidian and Cut Amber will make the progress slow. Getting frustrated is understandable, so we went through the issue, and here is what we found.

Why Does Metal Smelter Job Never Produce Anything in LEGO Fortnite?

There were no official statements regarding the bug at the time of writing. It has been reported by many players, so we should get an update regarding the issue in a few days or weeks. They might even resolve it and add the info about it then. As this seems to be something that is occurring from the game end, we can’t guarantee that the fixes will work. Still, you can try these:

  • Change the Villager: You might have already tried this, but if you haven’t, assign the smelting job to another villager. Repeat this a few times after some days to see if any of them are giving you the result you need.
  • Use the Metal Smelter first: Before assigning the smelting job to the villagers, make sure that you have crafted the item first. Once you do, the recipe should become available for them to use. In some cases, they start producing Cut Amber after you craft it.

For now, this is all we know about the LEGO Fortnite Metal Smelter job not working issue. To stay updated about the bug, be sure to save this and follow our Fortnite section.
