One of the new biomes in Minecraft that players are introduced to in the 1.19 Wild update is the Mangrove Swamp biome. This is where you can find Mangrove trees ergo Mangrove wood that can come in handy while crafting. For those looking for frogs, tadpoles, bees and fireflies hanging out in a region can head to this biome, but how to find the Mangrove Swamp Biome in Minecraft? This is where to go.
How to Find Mangrove Swamp Biome Location in Minecraft
First and foremost, make sure your game is updated to 1.19 because that’s how you can get access to the new swamp biome variant. There are two ways to find the location of the Mangrove Swamp Biome.
By Exploring
- To locate the Mangrove swamp biome, what you are looking for is humid and warm climate because that’s where frogs, tadpoles and more creatures in this biome thrive. So when you are near the Savannah, the Desert or Jungle biomes, there’s a chance that you can spot these densely-packed Mangrove trees.
- While exploring, you can also look for mud blocks of a different color than usual because these darker mud blocks are a part of this new biome. Moreover, players will find that the floor has mud all around which means you could be near this biome or already in the region.
- If you’d like to have a better vantage point, head to areas at a height to see if you can spot these Mangrove trees nearby.
Using the locatebiome Cheat
- If you are playing the Java edition and have turned on cheats in your world, locating any biome including the Mangrove swamp one is very easy.
- The syntax is: /locatebiome <minecraft:biome>
- So what you need to type is /locatebiome minecraft:mangrove_swamp – you should see the biome name from the various suggestions that Minecraft will show you.
How to Plant Mangrove Trees in Minecraft
- How does the Mangrove tree generation work in Minecraft 1.19? You need a Mangrove Propagule/Sapling for it.
- Once you plant it underwater, you will see a grown Mangrove tree in that area soon enough.
How to get more such trees, you ask? All you have to do is use the Propagules that are hanging on the tree. They will fall down into the water which is when you can get them. The trees themselves will have vines hanging down and the roots will be visible above the water as well.
These are the blocks on which you can plant Mangrove Propagules.
