Ivarr – Send to Valhalla or Deny Valhalla
In the first situation, you will get to know that it Ivarr who killed Colbert and it makes you (Eivor) a lot angry and start a boss fight between your and Ivarr. Once you have managed to defeat Ivarr, you will have two choices. Notably, none of these choices will have any bad impact on you throughout the game.
Here are the choices and consequences of the first situation:
- Send Ivarr to Valhalla: If you opt for this choice then Eivor will keep the axe on Ivarr’s chest and before gets killed, Ivarr claim that he is hearing the Wings of a Valkyrie.
- Deny Ivarr Valhalla: If you make this choice then Eivor will kick the axe out of Ivarr’s reach and Ivarr will die telling you that he is Helheim bound.
Choose whatever option you want becuase selecting any choice will not have any consequences. However, I don’t think Ivarr should go to Valhalla after killing Ceolbert and Rhodri. So, I went with denying him.

Ubba – What to tell Ubba about Ivarr
In the second situation, you will have to go back all the way to Quatford and meet Ubba (the brother of Ivarr) and Bishop. Ubba is aware of Ivarr’s death but he does not know it by your hand. When you tell him that Ivarr is no more. He will ask you how Ivarr died.
Here are some choices that you will get while talking to Ubba:
- Ivarr Died Well
- Ivar Died Badly
- He wanted Death
What you should keep in mind about this choice is don’t lie. Yes, if you denied Ivarr Valhalla, you will have to choose ‘Ivarr died badly’ or ‘he wanted death’, but if you send to Valhalla, you will be able to say that he ‘died well’. If you lie to Ubba, it is likely that you will have to face the consequences of telling lie to Ubba at your settlement in the game.
That’s everything you need to know about the King Killer mission and its choice and consequences.
