How to Join a Tournament in Fortnite
You can find various Tournaments from the Compete tab.
- Open Fortnite and click on the Compete tab.
- If you can’t find it then check if the game mode is Battle Royale. It can be missing if you were playing something else like Rocket Racing, Festival Main Stage, or some other mode.
- Here, you can check all the upcoming tournaments, their event details, time, prize, etc.
- In order to join one, wait till it is actually live.
- After it starts, you will find the new “By Epic” mode in the Discover tab.
- Change your game mode to one of the “By Epic” tournaments that you would like to join.
- Finally, click on the Play button to participate in one.
Different tournaments have different rules for scoring points. For example, you can get +1 point for eliminating 3 opponents, +1 point for reaching the top 10, +1 point for getting Victory Royale, etc. Check those rules out before you play so that you can strategize how to get the most points.
It goes without saying but it is also a good idea to play a few matches before the tournament starts. This will help you practice and warm up, this way you can perform better during the Events/Cups.
How to Fix Can’t Compete in Fortnite Tournaments
There could be various reasons you are unable to compete in a tournament, to avoid such situations it is important you verify your email beforehand and also have 2-factor authentication enabled. Aside, from that also make sure you use the 16:9 aspect ratio.
