How to Install Mods in BTD6
Although Mods installation is quite simple when it comes to Bloons TD 6, players will have to download a few things in order to do that. Players need to get the mod helper and Melon Loader first and then they will be able to begin the process of installing. If you have downloaded the said files, here’s how to install mods in BTD6:
- First download and extract the files at a certain location.
- After that, open Steam and toggle down to Bloons TD 6 and then right click. Now hover over Manage and then select the Local Files option. You will now open the location where your game files are saved.
- Before you start, make a copy of Bloons TD 6 folder so you can play the game without mods.
- Next, open the extracted Melon Loader folder and then copy all the files and then paste them in the BTD6 Copy folder to install mods.
- Now launch the Modded game and you will get a prompt like the one we had in the image above. This means the modding was successful.
- If you head back to the BTD6 Copy folder, you will notice a separate folder for Mods. Open that and then paste the file that you get after downloading ‘the mod helper’.
- After you do that, you will have the Mods option on the bottom left once you launch Bloons TD 6.
Cannot Install Mods in Bloons TD 6
If you cannot install the mods in BTD6 even after following all the steps above, you will need to download and install .Net 6.0 on your PC. This will allow Melon Loader to function properly and you should be able to Mod the game.
