Published Date :

Many players are unable to play Overwatch 2 due to getting the 0 players ahead of you error and are looking for a fix. What annoys players the most is even though there is no one in the queue they still have to wait. But there is actually a good reason why you aren’t able to play. So in this guide let us check what 0 players ahead of you in queue means for Overwatch 2, and if you can fix it.

How to Fix the 0 Players Ahead of You in Queue in Overwatch 2?

0 players ahead of you in queue in overwatch 2

There is no fix for 0 Players Ahead of You error in OW2 because it is apparently a visual glitch. As the game has recently become free-to-play, so like every other paid game which changed to this model, Overwatch 2 is also facing the same issue. And that issue is a plethora of new players trying to get in on the fun. So when there are so many players trying to play the game, it adds you in a queue.

For many players, the queue was as small as 20 players to 200 players. While for some others the queue was as big as 20000, 40000, and even longer queues. Thus if the game shows you 0 players ahead of you in the queue it might be any number of players be it 200 or 40000.

The only thing that you can do to here is to wait. That’s right, since this is an issue with the servers and their handling of the new players of the game. Whether the game decides to upgrade the servers and release an update, or place you ahead in the queue. At the end of the day, you still have to wait. In case you are tired of waiting and want to try your luck then you can try some basic fixes.

  • Restart the game: Close the game and restart it. When it starts again, see if you are able to join or if it shows you the proper queue.
  • Check for updates: In case you don’t have the auto-update enabled. Go to Battle.net and check if there is any new update available for the game. If there is then update Overwatch 2 and check if you still get 0 or any number in queue.

This is most likely a temporary issue and Blizzard should be fixing and releasing an update for it anytime now. Once the servers are properly fixed you should rarely ever face this problem again.

That covers this guide on what 0 players ahead of you in queue means in Overwatch 2, and how you can fix it.
