Wire bug in Monster Hunter Rise can be used to travel, evade enemies and even open up a new way of travel. There are different ways to use the wirebug in the game, you can do it with your weapon sheathed, while airborne, or even use it to wall run.

If you’re in mid-air and your weapon is not in use, pressing XL + X will keep you airborne and travel in the direction that your character is facing. By pressing ZL + A will help you get down to the ground diagonally. By pressing A and then B with Left Analog while in mid-air will allow you to travel in the direction which you choose.
If you’re knocked over, you can press ZL + B to reposition yourself, this will help you get back in the fight and save you from being attacked again.

While your weapon is not in use, pressing ZL + A will send your hunter forwards where your character is looking at.
