In Fisch, Animal Pools are a limited-time feature that gives players the chance to catch unique fish-animal hybrids such as the Lionfish, Salmoose, Zebrafishlet, and Kittyfish. This coincided with the April Fools update, and it ends on April 19th, 2025. These fishing hotspots provide valuable catches, and here’s how you can spawn and find these pools during this event.
What are Animal Pools?
Animal Pools are special fishing zones that spawn randomly across the map during specific event periods. Unlike standard fishing spots, these pools contain limited-time, hybrid creatures that you won’t find anywhere else. They appear every 30 minutes of server uptime and remain active for only 5 minutes, so timing is of the essence. There are two types of Animal Pools in Fisch—a normal pool and an Octophant hunt pool. You can find the normal pool in the First Sea as well as Second Sea.
How to Spawn and Locate Animal Pools in Fisch
Watch for Server Notifications
Every time an Animal Pool spawns, the game will send out a server-wide announcement in the chat. This message usually includes the general region where the pool has appeared. In the First Sea, the most likely locations are the Ancient Isle and Roslit Bay, so set your spawn location to be nearby and hop onto the fastest boat you have to get to the island. Make sure you have the Fish radar enabled. If you’re playing in the Second Sea, it can appear near Lushgrove.
Look for the Orange Beam
Each Animal Pool is indicated by a tall and bright orange beam of light that is visible from a distance. This makes it easier to track down the pool once you’re nearby, in the right area.
Act Fast
It only lasts for 5 minutes, so you’ll want to stop what you’re doing and head to the pool immediately.
Use Totems
Players can use the Sundial and Smokescreen totems to spawn an event and it works for the Animal Pool in Fisch as well.
How to Use the Animal Pool
- Equip your fishing rod and start fishing in the water as you would at any standard fishing spot.
- Animal Pools offer a higher chance of catching rare hybrid fish, exclusive to the event. Make sure to use a rod with high lure speed along with bait that boosts it even further, so that you can collect a lot of fish in a short span of time.
- You can then sell them for in-game currency. If you use a higher-tier rod with luck, you will be able to catch the rarer hybrids easily.
