Fisch has a wacky new update where you can catch Animal-fish hybrids in different locations. To make things easier for you, here’s how to complete the Octophant bestiary in Fisch, with important information like best bait, weather, time and season to catch ’em all.
How to Complete Octophant Bestiary in Fisch
When you’re playing in the 2nd Sea area, look out for the notification at the top of the screen that says “An Elephant Octopus has spawned near (location)” and head over there on your fast boat. This location is most likely going to be around Lushgrove.
When you go near, you will see that it is surrounded by a bubble and it is uncatchable. However, if you and fellow players catch 25 fish from the pool, it will break and the Octophant will be fishable after that.
There are a total of 6 fish in the Octophant bestiary and here’s what you need to know about them:

The Phantom Leech and Golden Worm are obtainable as rewards from the AFK mine. All you have to do is enter the cave and keep the game on while it passively collects random rewards for you. If you do this overnight or when you’re out for school or work, you will have a significant amount of bait ready for use.
The Lagoon Leech, Ember Berries, and Sapphire Krill are all found from Tropical Bait crates which can be fished from anywhere in the Second Sea area.
Since some fishes have a high progress speed decrease, it’s best to use a fishing rod with good Resilience. If it’s enchanted to give it high lure speed, control, or more resilience—even better.
Note that Animal Hunts can spawn every 30 minutes depending on the server uptime, so you can have a good chance if you’re playing on a private server. It lasts for 5 minutes overall. You can force spawn this even by using Tempest and Windset or Smokescreen totems.
You can use the Free Spirit Rod for this hunt, enchanted with Blessed Song or Hasty for some good results.
