With the pet mutations update, pets are more important than ever in Grow a Garden, and if you’re a dedicated player, you might want to level them up fast for better results. Basically, to use the Pet mutations feature, you need an animal of level (age) 50+, but getting to this can be time-consuming if you have newly added ones. Here’s how you can speed up the process.

How to Level Up Pets in Grow a Garden fast
To rank up and age up pets in Grow a Garden, these are the steps to follow:
Make sure your Pets are fed
While this is an obvious thing to do, it can become boring after a while. However, it is something that you need to do diligently because this is how your active pets will age up. If following the pet around to feed it is tedious, use the window that allows you to directly click on the Feed button on the required animal. You can fill up the bar faster if you provide mutated and higher rarity fruits.
Use Other Pets to Boost XP
There are pets that specifically have the ability to boost other pets. For example, the Blood Owl has a passive where all active pets gain 0.50 XP per second. If you have similar pets in your inventory, use the best one to age up others that you want mutated. The ones you can try are Cooked Owl, Night Owl, Owl, Capybara, Iguanodon, Sea Turtle, or Ostrich.
Use Boosts from the Gear Shop
The game has newly added items in the gear shop, such as the Medium Toy, which gives your pet a medium boost to their passive ability. You can use this item on the pet that is boosting other pets to speed up the overall process. There’s also a Medium Treat that will give a medium boost to your pet’s XP over time.
Lastly, there’s a Levelup Lollipop, which true to its name, will increase your pet’s age by 1. It costs a whopping 10,000,000,000 Sheckles or it can be purchased with 79 Robux.
There’s more! You can craft x3 Small Treat, and the recipe is x1 Common Egg, x1 Dragon Fruit, x1 Blueberry and 1 Million Sheckles, all of which should be easily accessible. Start crafting this item and once it’s ready, you can give your pet a small boost to their XP over time. Similarly, there’s a Small Toy item as well which needs x1 Common Egg, x1 Coconut, x1 Coconut seed and 1 Million Sheckles.
When you do all of this and wait for the pets to age up, you will be able to level them up quickly in Grow a Garden.
Once your pet has reached the 50+ age, you can use the Mutation machine located near the egg merchant. This will cost 500 Million Sheckles, so make sure you have farmed this amount beforehand and only apply it to a valuable pet.
The machine will allow your pet to get a permanent effect and it takes 1 hour to complete the process but can be skipped if you spend 49 Robux. However, this resets the pet’s age back to one. Keep in mind that if you submit an already mutated pet, the new mutation will wipe the previous one, because it won’t stack.
