Shroomie is a pet in Grow a Garden that was introduced during the Fairy Event (in its second half) and became obtainable on 6 September 2025. Not only does it look cute walking around your garden, but it has a useful passive as well. Here’s everything you need to know about getting this pet before the event ends.
How to Get Shroomie Pet in Grow a Garden
You can get Shroomie from three different sources:
- Enchanted Chest — chance of about 14.5%
- Exotic Enchanted Chest — also about 14.5% chance
- Rainbow Sack — slightly higher, around 15%
If you want to add Shroomie to your collection, these are the containers you’ll need to focus on opening. You can obtain the Enchanted Chest at a price of 8000 Fairy Points (Event currency) from the Luminous Sprite NPC or you can craft it with x1 Sunbulb, x1 Enchanted Seed Pack, x1 Enchanted Egg and 6000 Fairy Points.
The Exotic version of this chest can be bought with Robux and there’s a 1% chance of a Rainbow Sack being available from the Exotic Enchanted Seed Pack.
Abilities of the Shroomie Pet
Shroomie’s main ability makes it especially valuable for players who grow fungus-type plants:
Its passive ability helps nearby plants within roughly 15 studs of the player get a size bonus. The bonus is 0.005x size for each Fungus-type plant in your garden.
The effect caps at 300 Fungus plants, so anything beyond that won’t add more size. Shroomie has a hunger value of 20,000 and as it levels up, its ability becomes stronger, making it far more impactful at higher levels Mutations like Golden or Rainbow versions can significantly amplify its bonus.
At level 50 without mutations, Shroomie can nearly double the size effect under optimal conditions (with plenty of fungus plants).
Shroomie shines in fungus-heavy gardens, so if that’s yours, this pet is definitely worth getting.
