How To Get Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV

Free Companies

If you’re part of a free company in Final Fantasy XIV, you might find a few Thavnairian Onions simply waiting for you. This is done because other players know how difficult and time consuming it can be to get your hands on the seeds of the Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV. Moreover, having a good enough Chocobo on the team will help the company to carry out additional quests and more.

Quests

Two quests offer Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV, these are called Landing a Stable Job and A Hunter’s True Nature. To begin the Landing a Stable Job quest, you will need to complete the Level 50 Main Scenario Quest ‘The Better Half’. Once it is done, you will get a side quest in Ishigard. Go to the coordinates, X:6 and Y:9, and pick it up in The Jeweled Crozier from Mathye.

For the second quest titled, A Hunter’s True Nature you will need to complete three side quests in Dravanian Forelands. These side quests are ‘Pest Control,’ ‘A Step in the Right Direction,’ and ‘Garbage Duty’. Only after you complete these will you will be able to visit Hevoix in Tailfeather at coordinates X:32 and Y:23. Here you will be able to collect your quest and your onion.

Farming

Finally, the last option is to grow Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV by yourself. Doing this can take weeks and you will need to keep an eye on them every single day. If you’re not a regular player, using this method can seriously damage your lands as well as the crops.

But if you still are determined to get Thavnairian Onions seeds in the game, you will need to cross-breed a bunch of plants to get them. To start things off you will have to cross-breed Krakka Root with Mirror Apple to get Curiel Root.

Then you will need to cross-breed Almonds and Mandrakes to get Nymeia Lillies. Once you have Lillies and Curiel Roots, crossbreed them to have a chance of getting Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV. Now, all you have to do is plant your onions and take care of them until they grow.

How to Use Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV

Once your Chocobo crosses level 10, it won’t level up unless you feel it a Thavnairian Onions. Each onion will help it gain a level and you will need to feed it 10 Thavnairian Onions in Final Fantasy XIV for it to get to its max cap level of 20.
