The Spectral Serpent in Fisch is a nod to the Ghost Leviathan in Subnautica. Both creatures share similar eerie, spectral appearances and large, formidable body types and if you’d like to add the Mythical Serpent to your Bestiary, here are the conditions to fulfill and the process to follow.
How to Get Spectral Serpent in Fisch
Things to know before going out to fish:
Since it’s a Mythic fish, it’s an extremely rare and challenging catch. But when you do hook it, you will see a pink exclamation mark to indicate a Mythic fish, and there’s a -80% progress speed decrease that will come into play while reeling. This means there’s a high chance of losing it during the fishing mini-game, however, you can enchant your rod beforehand (with Resilience or Controlled) to increase your chances of a successful catch. You can also get a luck boost for 10 minutes by spending 5000C$ at Merlin’s hut at Sunstone Island.
What are the conditions to catch Spectral Serpent in Fisch?
In any season, head out when the weather is Clear with the preferred bait of the Spectral Serpent which is Truffle Worm. Some players also suggest that using the Deep Coral bait worked out for them, so you can give it a try too!
You’re most likely to catch it during night time however, it is only available in the Brine Pool. You need the Reinforced Rod to fish in the Brine Pool, so make sure to check out our guide that helps you with the steps to unlock it.
When all the conditions are fulfilled and the fishing mini-game goes perfectly, you may catch a Spectral Serpent with any of the mutations like Midas, Shiny, Big, Frozen, Giant, Albino, etc. Be ready with a lot of patience because players have had to do 500+ fishes in the Brine Pool to eventually get this Mythic creature!
