Finding the mole cricket in Animal Crossing New Horizons can be a bit of a challenge as you will never see it, the mole cricket is an insect which buries itself in the ground never pops out. You can hear it though.

This is a clear indication that you are near one, if you hear a continuous chirping sound, this means that you are nearby a mole cricket. To get your hands on one of these, you will need to slowly move around and find the area the sound is the loudest.

Once you locate the origin of the sound, begin digging up the soil. You can use any shovel and this does not require any special tool to complete.

Once you dig enough, the mole cricket will likely pop out of the ground and start walking around, use your net and catch it with it before it can escape.
