How To Get Hardwood Fast In Stardew Valley

Updated Date :

In Stardew Valley, Hardwood is one of the most required materials available to players from the very early stage. We need it for placing building orders, during bundles, and even in crafting level-up items or devices from the menu. Apart from those, we need it in multiple quests that not only give friendship heart but also gold, furniture, and more.

While there are quite a few ways to acquire this item, if you are new or require a large amount, you might find it difficult to obtain. Now that you have made your way here, you don’t need to worry about those. This is a list of the various methods that you can use to get the item in SDV.

The fastest and easiest way to obtain this is by chopping the Mahogany Tree, Large Stump, and Large Log. Mahogany Trees are planted with Mahogany Seeds and can be taken down with a simple Axe. You will find some seeds while chopping the Large Stump and Large Log. Since you get seeds from the fully grown tree, after growing your first Mahogany Tree, you can occasionally shake it for them. Collect some seeds and keep trees separate for Hardwoods and producing seeds.

Large Stumps can be found in the farm, the Secret Woods, and The Mines. You have to use the Copper Axe to chop them. Six Large stumps spawn daily in the Secret Woods. Cutting them down helps you get 12 Hardwood. Lastly, Large Logs are found on the farm, Mines, and one is blocking the Secret Woods. You use Steel Axe to get the Hardwood from these.

Other Ways to Get Hardwood in SDV

  • If a player has the Forest Map, they can get an additional 16 Hardwood by cutting 8 tree stumps which respawn daily.
  • Another way to obtain the same is to get it as loot after breaking open barrels and boxes in the Mines.
  • In the Lumberjack profession, normal trees drop Hardwood at times.
  • Alternatively, Robin can gift you 25 Hardwood as a gift at the Feast of the Winter Star.
  • When the Woodskip Fish Pond reaches a population of 6 it can produce 5 Hardwoods.

This is all you need to know about how to get Hardwood in Stardew Valley. While foraging for this, have a look at how to farm Clay and Powdermelons in SDV.
