If you want to fry your enemies like a chicken then you best have the Gauss Minigun in Fallout 76. This ranged weapon uses 2mm Electromagnetic Cartridges that explode on hitting the target. That means you don’t have to worry about clearing hordes of enemies anymore. The best thing about the Gauss Minigun is that it has more damage, accuracy, and magazine size as compared to the .50 cal Machine Gun. While using this weapon is highly recommended during a war, you must first unlock it.

Gauss Minigun is a special type of Energy Gun that can’t be obtained via trading. Instead, you will have to make it available in the game by unlocking its Plan. You can purchase the Gauss Minigun Plan from Mortimer after spending 750 Gold Bullion. For those who don’t know, Mortimer is a Mister Handy merchant found in the Crater Core, Toxic Valley. To be able to purchase stuff from Mortimer, you must gain the “Ally” Reputation with the Raiders. Consider this as a main requirement for obtaining the Gauss Minigun in Fallout 76.

Anyway, once you have purchased the Gauss Minigun Plan, you can craft it at a Weapon Workbench by using the following materials:

  • x18 Aluminum
  • x6 Circuitry
  • x2 Legendary Modules
  • x15 Screws
  • x4 Silver
  • x6 Springs
  • x15 Steel

One more thing, after obtaining the Gauss Minigun Plan, it becomes available as a reward for events or quest completion. So if you are having trouble in finding the above materials, you can try your luck by completing some in-game objectives.
