Often in Tears Of The Kingdom, you would have to jump off from high-altitude places to reach specific locations like the Kingdom Of Hyrule at the very start of your campaign. Now if you don’t want to enjoy the serenity of the area beneath while falling and want to speed things up a bit, you have the option to dive faster. Here is our guide on how you can dive in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom.
How to Dive in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom (TOTK)
Tears Of The Kingdom introduces the Great Sky Islands which are a great tutorial zone to learn the Dive mechanic of the game. To use dive, players would need places to jump off from like cliffs, ledges, platforms, etc. The option to dive won’t show up if there isn’t enough distance between the platform and the ground.
Once you position yourself at the edge of the platform you can then follow these steps:
- Press A so that Link jumps off of the platform.
- Once you are free-falling toward the ground you will see the option to Accelerate.
- Press and hold R to Dive toward any pools of water.
This would increase your descending speed considerably and will reduce the amount of time it takes to get down. It is recommended to Dive in the pools of water beneath like lakes and rivers since you won’t have the paraglider from the beginning. Free Diving toward the ground might just kill you even if you maximize your hearts and stamina. Once you do have the paraglider as the game progresses you can also dive down Chasms. You won’t be able to maneuver as freely as you would during the free fall.
That’s how you can dive from Sky Islands in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom and if you are stuck on one above the Central Hyrule Archipelago here is our guide on how you can fix the issue.
