Best Way to Defeat the Lizard in Spider-Man 2

The Lizard will be one of the toughest bosses you face in Spider-Man 2. He has four distinct phases that will test your reflexes and combat skills.

Phase 1 – Playing with Combos

Pay attention to your spider-sense in the first phase to spot steam vents on the floor. When the Lizard is over one, use your webshot ability to stun him briefly. This opens a window to unleash your best combo moves and abilities. Do this twice to take down his first health bar.

Phase 2 – Using Webshots

Once he starts climbing the walls, the vents are less effective. Instead, keep him grounded by continuously firing webs at his face. Web shots will stick to him and leave him vulnerable. Follow up by dashing in with your symbiote claws using the circle and square buttons together. Deal quick damage before he recovers.

Phase 3 – Dodging

In phase three, he’ll get more aggressive. Watch for clues telling you when to dodge or block. Stay mobile, and don’t get cornered. Take potshots with web shooters whenever you get an opening.

Phase 4 – Final Act

His final phase is an all-out assault. Heal frequently while down on the d-pad and watch your own health closely. Use all your upgraded abilities, especially your powerful surge attack. When he uses his deafening screech, shield your ears immediately to avoid being stunned. Lure him back over any remaining vents to stun him one last time. Unleash a web-shot fueled a flurry of attacks to defeat the menacing Lizard finally.

With that you should be able to easily defeat the Lizard in Spider-Man 2. Since you are here also check out our other guides on if you can turn off gliding ringsall map locations, and how to switch characters.
