How to Get New Flower Colors in ACNH
To create hybrid flowers, you will need:
- 1 x shovel
- 1 x watering can
Note that you can only crossbreed two flowers of the same species as of now. You need to make sure that the flowers you want to crossbreed are placed in a checkerboard pattern. Ensure that any potential spaces for a new flower to grow are not blocked by anything. The reason behind the checkerboard pattern is that we want to provide flowers the opportunity to cross-pollinate and space to produce new hybrid flowers.
You can choose to grow these hybrid flowers in a fenced area too – it will not only help you find them easily, but it will also make your island look really pretty.
Remember that, your flowers won’t grow immediately, because you need to water them diligently with a watering can. Or if it rains, that’s good too. You will know when the flowers are ready to multiply when they start to glisten.
Once you do everything right, you just have to wait until the new hybrid flowers bloom in the empty areas nearby. There is no fixed duration of hybrid flowers growing on your island, so just keep observing and watering them until they bloom.
