Once Human: How to Craft a Furnace

A furnace is an important tool in Once Human for smelting ores into materials that are essential components of a wide range of items. This includes weapons, armor and advanced crafting. Crafting a furnace in Once Human involves two key steps: unlocking the blueprint and then building it using resources and here’s how you can get started.

How to Build a Furnace in Once Human

First, you need to unlock the Furnace Blueprint:

  • Press the Tab key to open the character menu. Navigate to the Cradle option, which represents your skill tree.
  • Within the Cradle menu, locate the Infrastructure section. Find the skill named “Smelting Essentials” and learn it. This unlocks the blueprint for the furnace.

Building the Furnace:

  • Enter Build Mode: Press the B key to activate the Build Menu. Doing this will let you place structures and furniture within your territory.
  • Production Processing Tab: Head to the Production Processing tab within the Build Menu.

  • Place the Furnace: Find the furnace icon in the Production Processing tab. Click on it to select it.

  • Make sure you have the Resources: The left side of the Build Menu will display the resources required to build the furnace.
    • 20 Copper Ore: Copper ore can be found by mining rocks in the world.
    • 30 Gravel: Gravel can be gathered by harvesting resource deposits and even from iron ores.
  • Place the Furnace: Once you have the required resources, click on a valid location within your territory to place the furnace. A green outline indicates that the spot is suitable for your furnace. Left-click to confirm the construction.

Make sure you have enough space to accommodate the furnace within your base. By following these steps, you’ll have a functional furnace in your base, ready to transform your raw materials into valuable crafting components.
