While playing as Frey in Forspoken, you will be dealing with multiple enemies and bosses. In the meanwhile, you will be getting constant support from your Cuff (the source of Frey’s power). From breathtaking parkour skills to devastating magical spells, an adventurous journey is guaranteed in this game. During battles, there will be times when you will feel the need to Block the incoming strikes. But how is that possible? There is no specific button to do so. If you are finding the answer to this question, then this guide is all you need. Read till the end to know how to Block in Forspoken.

Steps to Block in Forspoken

Strangely, there is no dedicated button to block an incoming enemy strike in this game. Thankfully, Frey’s Cuff automatically blocks the attack reducing the damage to some extent. Don’t worry, there is another way around to perfectly block an attack in Forspoken. You need to have the Shield Slot Spell unlocked. The Shield Slot is a Purple Magic Spell or Frey’s Magic that comes under the Offensive category.

Simply equip the Shield Slot spell on the magic triangle located at the right bottom. Once done, hold the R2 button to summon a black-colored shield. Meanwhile, you are holding R2, the Shield will be active and blocking all the attacks in Forspoken. Once you have released the R2 button, the Shield will blast forward into pieces.

Besides blocking, you can also Counter the attacks of an enemy. All you need to do is wait for the enemy to strike and in the meantime, you have to hit the Triangle button on the controller to counter the attack. It is beneficial as not only it will knock back the enemy, but also regenerate health to a certain extent. For detailed information, check out this guide where we have mentioned the steps to do Counter & Precision Counter in Forspoken.

That is everything you can do to Block in Forspoken. While you are here, make sure to check out our other Forspoken Guides on Gamer Tweak.
