How to beat Nightmare Dragon Ango?
Ice and Bless Skills are the best line of attack against Ango in the game. If you are using other attacks then you won’t get much damage. Ango is resistant to Fire, Electricity, Wind, Nuclear, and Curse skills. Yusuke, Haru, and Sophia must be at your party if you want to win the fight. Make sure Yusuke and Sophia must be over Level 20 before engaged with the dragon boss. Also, grab some restorative items from the shop.
Phase 1:
Nightmare Dragon Ango is a slow target, so you will have enough time to hit him. Also, you can dodge away from his attacks faster. He will be using a magic attack at the beginning, look for the ice crystals around. Use that to stun damage Ango, he will be paused for a while. This is your time to attack him with all possible strikes.
Nightmare Dragon Ango will also use shockwaves but there is nothing to worry much about it. In the beginning, Ango will use special skills which to an extent are not possible to cancel. Once activated he will be covered in flames which will boost his attack and defense. The only way to beat this boss is to break the buff as soon as he is back on the ground. Lure the dragon towards the ice cube and keep attacking.
Make sure he is near enough and then denote the cubes to cause an explosion. This will deal with ice damage to Nightmare Dragon Ango. This attack will freeze him for some time, just stay there and keep attacking him. This is your chance to cause max damage to this boss. Use a mix of combo and magic attacks to bring him down.
Nightmare Dragon Ango is also weak against Holy Magic so switch to Yusuke or Sophia. If you can do this during the stage he is frozen you will get more damage. Once back on his foot, stay away to avoid any kind of claw attack. You will have to continue this until half of his health is gone.
Phase 2:
In the second phase of Ango Natsume, he will start applying the buff to boost his attack and defense. If you are unable to stop him, you have to deal with his powerful AOE Ice Magic Attack. Use Phantom dash when you find him floating in the air with a blue orb above his head. Do not let him get charged, or else you won’t be able to dodge this attack.
As soon as you successfully knock him out before unleashing his magic attack you will see piles of swords on the floor. You can launch the same on the dragon and the fight begins. The sword attack will cause Holy Magic damage, and it will also stun him. Focus only on this type of attack to make sure he does not fly away. Whenever is up in the air using the sword attack and when you are close enough hit him with magic attacks and combos.
The pattern of attack will continue for a while. Make sure you dodge away and continue attacking whenever you have the window. Continue till see around 20% of his health is left, this where Ango will be more aggressive. There is nothing special here just use the same strategy. Dodge away and attack whenever you get a chance, use the swords on the floor to stun him.
